jay,
Poorly written, in vague generalities....unattributed anedotes..........giving out the same tired old advice that has got them nowhere for decades
Basically a re hash of old articles .....Yawn !
I just cannot go beyond para. 1 and Blondie's opening comments.
WE LIVE in a world where millions no longer know whom or what to trust, perhaps because they have been hurt or disappointed too many times. What a contrast to Jehovah’s servants!
Thanks for reminding us that JW's are among the most hurt or dissappointed. This is the end of the article for me. Must just be rubbish after such a BS statement that has it backwards. Thanks Blondie, makes me sick and sad to see what they are focusing on this week. Just like every other week but more so today.
Thanks Blondie, I always look forward to reading your comments.
Thanks as always, you keep me up to date, and I appreciate your time.

Par 10 says in part: ...................... 'Jehovah has given us a truly verdant spiritual estate'.
Yah, a spiritual estate filled with divorced JWs, broken JW families, youth who want nothing to do with the organization, unhappy JW men and woman alike dependent on meds to help them cope......... The list goes on!
We owe this all not to Jehovah but to the WTBTS and its' GB. Thank you GB for nothing!
Blondie, I don't know how you do it...................but you do. Thank you.
is it just me, or do the articles lately only consist of the following:
do this (field service, meeting, study)
don't do that (pornography, college, career, flirting, entertainment)
oh and obey, obey, obey the slave (what an irony actually )
soooooooooooooooooooooo boring.....
For sure the "End is Near"....Great work Blondie...
I guess the only "end" that JW's will see it is the end of their life. That's for sure.
What pathetic article by FDS. Haven't they got tired repeating the same things all over again?
Great stuff Blondie. Do you know if there are any online resourced that have the entire introduction for the Rotherham Bible?
Loaded Language in today's study:
Paragraph 1: What a contrast to Jehovah’s servants! Guided by godly wisdom, they know better than to place their trust in this world or its “nobles.”
Why was this loaded language necessary? The message of Psalms 146 is clearly to place your trust in God, not in any men:
Psalms 146 Praise Jah, YOU people! Praise Jehovah, O my soul. 2 I will praise Jehovah during my lifetime. I will make melody to my God as long as I am. 3 Do not put YOUR trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. 4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish. 5 Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in Jehovah his God,
But the Watchtower paragraph applies the scripture as meaning not to put trust in worldly men because Jehovah's Witnesses are encouraged to put their trust in the group of men who make up the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses.
*** bt chap. 13 p. 103 par. 9 “There Had Occurred No Little Dissension” ***
When serious issues arise today, let us imitate the fine example of the believers in Antioch by trusting God’s organization and its Governing Body of anointed Christians, who represent “the faithful and discreet slave.”
