Update:
Ali's Dr. advised her not to return to her job, as the long hours, stress, and physical exertion would be bad for her heart. So she is in the process of applying for permanent disability. The first concern was insurance, but she qualified right away for medicare, so that was a relief...no lapse in coverage.
The MRSA apparently wasn't gone altogether, so she is being treated for that again. Everything else seems to be improving.
I'm going to Florida next week to visit. My son and his wife's family and friends are all going to stay at a beach house for a week...and Ali and the kids an I will join them. We started planning this last fall... it will be good for all of us to be together.

Sylvia, Her Dr. assured her that she will absolutely qualify. We are hoping it goes through quickly.
White Dove I'll have her read the responses while we're at the beach. You are right...she is a survivor!
