I have it and use it and it has more than paid for itself. I have an old cheap Tracfone I loaded up with minutes and use it when I'm out of the house and Magic Jack when I'm home - I also also give my Magic Jack number to people I dont want knowing my cell phone number. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

Thanks, LRG and ZD, for posting.

Great it's working for you, littlerockguy.

When I went online to get more info on installation, I became aware of difficulties many buyers were having. Yet others, like you, had total success. Mine simply would not download without repeated error messages.

    I appreciate your input,

Wow. I posted something and it did not take. Speaking with people, you can't beat the price. The device works. Customer service is nonexistent.

I have 2. They rock. Must have high-speed data. I guess some people figured since it was "a phone", they could use dial-up. $20 a year beats the crap out of Vonage for basically the same service. BotR is right about customer service; I have first-hand experience that it blows. It is mobile and will work on any PC with high-speed and USB, so you can take it on vacation, use it with a laptop on wi-fi, hook it to a friend's PC, give it as a gift to someone out of the country so you can call them on a US number. It gives you a real number (unlike Skype) that anyone can call. As of this year, it no longer supports 3-way calling, but it has call waiting, caller ID, stores (I believe) unlimited numbers, accepts texts and converts them to voice.

WontLeave, you can get a real number with Skype if you want. It's extra.
