Sorry it took me "ages" (lol) to get round to. But when I posted about the divine plan of the ages, a couple of you emailed me saying you were interested in it. I've posted it to my site and will be leaving them there if anyone wishes to link to the jpgs. There are also a couple of higher resolution ones without the word <small> in the title.

When you see this pic, remember that the early bible students were almost obsessed with this diagram and some had large murals of it on the wall. (actually, I'm trying to find someone who can print it in A3 so I can frame it - but I'm just strange).

I have also printed the title page so you can see which book it comes from. The ads in the back of the book make interesting reading aswell.

how do jws explain the use of this method to calculae dates?

does the average jw even know that this was the orignal method used to crryout calculations?

what does this have to do with bible chronology?

I think I will need to read the book to answer your first question. The diagram, while interesting, is not entirely self explanatory.

To your second question... this is a big one. There is much posted on this site already about witness history and how some doctrine changes have be hidden or buried; and how the witnesses explain their constant flow of new doctrines as "new light" and "food at the proper time". Perhaps someone else can elaborate on this or provide some links?

oh yes, and how you would be disfellowshipped now for holding the beliefs that the witnesses had a few decades ago.
