Rick, I am not going to follow you around here today, but I do want to say for the sake of anyone reading this, lurker, JW, whatever, that you in no way represent most people who leave JW's.
JW's and their leadership have legitimate issues with harboring pedophiles, lying about their history, claiming to predict the end of this system which means that at their essence, they are a false religion, sheisters who claim to be the one true religion.
Your current attempt at a story might be true, probably is, but what's the point? Do you not think that some father hasn't tried to buy their daughter's baby for religious or other reasons before?
This doesn't prove anything about JW's. Idiot father/daughter relationships litter history and various religions.
What it does say about you is that you are so intent on discrediting JW's, that you instead discredit yourself.
I went to Gilead class 119. I bring this only to say that I was an insider. I got to see the rot. I was lied to all my life, sure. I also believed it for a while and supported it. I am proud of myself for finally getting out, for having the courage to be honest and say "enough".
I also am honest enough to say that while JW's are populated with many mentally distressed people, most of them are well intentioned. Being well intentioned of course is not a virtue in of itself, which is why I write this to you Rick.
You may be well intentioned, but regretably, you are morphing into the same type of commentator like the writers of the WT. Low fact checking and a desire to be overly reliant on anecdotal evidence instead of reasonable arguments made. In other words, if the facts don't fit what you are looking for, you will go for the sensationalistic story to get the effect YOU want.
You are no more a champion of "truth" than the Governing Body is.
