I had no idea! It is truly disheartening and sickening to hear yet another tale of child abuse excused under the ridiculous WT notion of teaching children to 'honor their Father and Mother'. I'm thinking that the poor brother at the urinal must have been more upset over your beating than he was over the mess! And rightly so!

Hi MC,

I'm really sorry to hear about your treatment by your father. I can't relate to that because I remember my father as being so proud of his family(My brother and I) that when he met someone at an assembly he would introduce us to the person with such love and enthusiasm. He died when I was 18 and I have missed him over the years. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be in your shoes. I hope you can recover.

Not to mention extremely hurtful.

Thanks for sharing your feelings... perhaps the WTS did subtly encourage this type of treatment in the past.
