  I am not saying that the clip is torturing the cat, but it is a way of controling the cat.

  What happens when assholes put that on a cat to see what heppens and then does not take it off?

  That technique can be used to subdue a terrified cat to give it needed medical care or to torture it.

  I agree . . .

  I don't see that the problem lies with the technique . . . but with the motive for using it.

  There are already myriads of ways assholes inflict torture on animals . . . most are a whole heap worse . . . and that is a problem in itself.

  To carefully use this technique for a legitimate purpose seems intelligent and kind to me.

  this is the way the mother cat holds a kitten , not sure either if it is safe for an adult cat.

  A mother cat does not put a binder clip on the kittens' skin. Adult cats are not kittens and human beings do not necessarily know how to pick up a kitten safety like a mother cat does....let alone an adult cat. Put a binder clip on your own necks and see how it feels!

  rebel ,, I was thinking that too, you're right ,,, and wondering if I should try just holding his nape

  I had a very very bad cat once. I gently held his nape to stop him from really bad behavior (i.e., trying to kill our kitten, attacking me, etc.). It worked. No binder clip needed.

  thank you, rebel ... that's what I was thinking... He's not having bad behaviour,,, it's just having a hard time w/ the furballs, and I think that will work.
