just wanted to throw out that those jws that didnt actually hear that wont believe it unless its at a meeting or convention. i told my pioneer mother about the "new light" everyone was buzzing about several months ago about the generation that will never pass away and she said they never said anything about that at her convention or meeting and that it was all false material conjured up on the web and apostate doing....funny how thats their catch all for anything they cant explain....
So what do ya'll think about the recent new light?

I had to admit to my wife - That's what I thought we believed anyway. I didn't even realize that was new.........

St George of England
The one thing I found out was that he continually wrote letters to the society.

............I don't think of it! The GB are 7 'just imperfect men' NOT 'doing their best'.
As I always say the GB= 7 villages are missing 7 idiots!

I think that as the new generation can be at least 50 more years, they have to create expectation and a sense of urge by another light ...

Relating to new light or new ideas, some common concept of the new world is mentioned by various publishers to me. Over a time span of about five years three different JWs mentioned to me their theory about a future water canopy. None of them were really big speculators but it was funny they were compelled to bring it up. Two instances were in service and one was at a book study.
In all cases I told them I believed them because it was my feeling for a number of years as well. The interesting exchange at book study was in front of the conducting elder and he gave us a funny look as if he disapproved of the speculation. Then the other brother who started the conversation returned fire at his look and said "and it was good, that's what God said in Genesis". The conversation stopped at that.
Anyway, if the the general consensus is the return of the water canopy then why doesn't the FDS publish that thought? I think they need interview all JWs and find out what speculation is running in their minds. Maybe they could publish the common theme mentioned by most of them.

. Their new light is limited now because they are not listening to the heart. In time God will set matters straight.
God? that's an unusual word for a JW to use in the context, Acluetofindtheanswer.
Anyhoo, their new light is not limited, it's nonexistent. The old red Revelations book talked about the dual powers, and I'm sure, CERTAIN sure, that a lot of JWs were excited when Tony Blair was all snuggled up with GWB ---- "See? See? Great Britain and the US,, just like the prophecy foretold".
Oh well, I guess I'll just 'wait on Jehovah TM ' ....

Thanks for the reply Wonder Woman,... I mean talesin.
The US is still in bed with the UK. Every television station, every newspaper, every media device in the US was glued to the royal wedding. Now politically in bed I'm not sure. I feel the US and the UK have the same mindset on doing things globally. In the past the sun never set on the British empire. Now the sun never sets on the Empire State.

Of course the ten toes are pointing to foot fungus. As we all know, any good fungus treatment last 7 days. Ergo the end will come in either 7 days, weeks, months, years, decades or centuries. I'm just waitin for the noo light to let me know. Then I'll tell all of you. At the next DC. Next year. Maybe. If you're nice. And send money.

The image would have foot fungus if it was wearing sneakers. Everybody wore sandals when this statue was imagined. Sandals would have kept the feet dry and kept foot fungus at bay. Maybe the Babylonians also cleaned their bath house floors with chlorine.
