please make a post of your experience attending the memorial you will attend. state what you felt about what you heard. even tape it if you can! I gather you have family in. or at least close friends. I would love to know and hear what is said the one time a year the wbts actually do "talk" about Jesus.

It's always in the 2/15 WT. I will try to post the schedule later. (I'm not too good at this scanning business! ) We need as many people as possible planning their apostatizing! LOL

gwen, my bro is a junior in high school. he is planning on going on to school after graduation (i keep on encouraging him!!) when i told my mom "that sucks" about the whole finals week and the dc, she said "well, it's the first time that's happened." whatever.
also, i'm planning on going to the memorial (i go every year) i'll take notes and post them here. but ya know gwen, i think they have used the same damn outline for the last 10 yrs! i swear every year it's the same talk!

thank you for the date of the WT! I have it ( thanks to zev ) but I'm not too good at the scanning business myself. whenever I used to scan, it was upside down or sideways and it took me a good hour or more to turn it around and resize it so it was at least recongnisable as either a picture, or a word document.

I appreciate you posting the same ole, annual talk then, at the memorial. maybe your mom never noticed that the memorial talk came at the time of final exams before. perhaps not till now. and keep encouraging your brother to stick to continuing his education! ( he can always say that he's doing it to become a scholar for the wbts. you might feel that it does no good, but hey, certain things people say stay and linger in your brain. ESPECIALY with older siblings!

gwen, alan's my last hope. he's the baby of the family and not mentally ill! i keep thinking if i can just get him to go on to school after graduation it will all fall into place. he's not baptized yet and has no desire to get dunked. once he turns 18, i'll will not be so subtle about the sham the wts is. right now i kinda pussy-foot around it.

keep smiling and keep the faith. remember what I said about certain things you say will stick and STAY in Alan's head. Believe me, they will. may take awhile, but they do stay there and they think about them more often than you think they do.

That totally sucks! I remember when I was new in the troof - my first year I guess - I went to my baptism assembly which was my first assembly. Then it seemed like a few months went by and low and behold the two-day. Then another few months and the convention!
I had three babies at the time. I didn't know it was non-apropo to say, "Why on earth are there so many of these things????" to a car group of pioneers?
Everyone stood quiet. I'll bet they all wanted to laugh and say the same thing but didn't want to "stumble" the newby.
when's the district convention in the us/uk?
well here if it's around xmas time or new year.....i was thinking they put at this time so ppl would not have the slightest chance to party..
abt the memorial..it's just bad timing coz here (catholic country) we have the holy week so people could get on vacation coz it's official holiday but of course the memorial gets in the way...grr grr
