Tried to act happy for the kids sake..what a horrible parent I was..

Thank goodness I did not grow up a JW. Christmas was the happiest time of year in my family.
Raising my kids as JW's, I made a big stinkin deal out of wedding anniversaries. We bought the kids big presents and had cake and parties, etc. I made sure the kids had lots of magical things to replace the holidays and I always made their birthdays special. I would go through their baby pictures and tell them of their births and babyhoods. I just could not allow the day to pass unoticed.

My family would just sit at home with the TV and radio turned off. (Thank god that they invented household VCRs eventually.) There was the nice turkey dinner, though...
Even though I'm no longer one of the bOrg, I still don't bother with it ('cuz I live alone). Who the f**k would I celebrate it with? It doesn't matter to me anyway. I might hit an Asian restaurant or a movie to pass the time...
