Perhaps. I mean, it's not like THEY got anything wrong, is it?
Hehehe.......touche.....ha!!
The possibility, yes, of course. I mean, we can imagine anything, can't we... and anything we can imagine is a possibility. Right? Except for my hearing Christ speak, of course. That's the only IMpossibility. Right? Hey, look: believe what you will, dear one - that's the beauty of being a free moral agent: we get to choose. But I did not lie to you, truly. I shared exactly what I received... from One who would know. I totally understand if you can't receive that... or wrap your head around it. I do not think less of you or anything like that. I just shared the truth, is all... whether you hear or refrain.
Ummmmm yeah..........ummmmm about you recieving something from somebody.......ummmm yeah......well............mmmmmmm Likewise on me not thinking less of you or anything. As far as truth goes, well the jury's still out on that one.

So the question remains, who was Cain's wife?
The writers of Genesis don't say that it was one of Cain's sisters...
Of course he may have already HAD a wife and she went with him when he was banished...

Of course the issue is that Genesis says that Adam and Eve had cain and Abel and AFTER Cain killed Abel and was bainshed, Adam got iton with Eve and they had Seth.
25 Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, for she said, “God has appointed e for me another child instead of Abel, because Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to invoke the name of the Lord .
And after that:
5 This is the list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humankind, a he made them b in the likeness of God. 2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them “Humankind” c when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived one hundred thirty years, he became the father of a son in his likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4 The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years; and he had other sons and daughters. 5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years; and he died.
Which tells us that Adam had more kids AFTER CAin left and AFTER Seth was born.

the problem with this kind of questions is, that they have been asked before. they have not been answered in a satisfying way, but they have been asked. long ago. so believers* have heard it before. so they* don't care. because they* heard it before.
* make that "many believers". for the sake of psac. who is special.

I'm not so sure, dear PSacto (again, peace to you!). I mean, while I'm sure Adham did have kids after Seth, I don't get from the verse you quoted that he had them ONLY after Seth. If what you state is true, then it stands to follow that NONE of those descending from Seth... for the next 8 generations (from Enosh to Lamech!)... had ANY children, either, until after the named heir. AND... that ALL of them had a son first. Wow, now THAT's quite a legacy!
But... that isn't the truth, dear one. The TRUTH is that it wasn't about any of the others... nor was the heir necessarily the first child. NOR... that the first child was always a son. The account... simply names the HEIRS... and HIS lifespan and heir... while cursorily referring to the fact these had other children.
In case you doubt that, I offer to you that Cain was Adham's first and oldest son; however, ABEL... was the heir (Seth replaced Abel, not Cain). Ismael was Abraham's first and oldest son; yet, ISAAC was the heir. Same thing with Esau and Jacob... Reuben and Judah. Adham... and Christ.
Please, dear one... stop trying to hear... with your EYES. Please! Listen... to the One who speaks to us "from the heavens" on these matters.
Your servant, always... sister, and fellow slave of Christ,
SA

Shel,
We've spoken about th is before, what you or I hear fromour lord is irelevant to those that are searching based on what THEY see and understand.
It is simply anecdotal at best and doesn't fall into the category of "evidence", much less of "proof".
It's like saying that the bible is the Wor dof God because the bible says it is the word of God, you need an "otside source' if available and if not, you need to make you case based SOLELY of scripture, even IF guided by Divine revelation.
I know you may not agree, but that is the style of MY "apologetics".
Now, back to the passage, it states that AFTER Adam had Seth that he had further off springs and there is NO m ention of OTHER off springs when Cain and Abel are discussed in Chapter 4.
What I am saying is that NOWHERE does the bibel state EXPLICITY or even implicity that Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel are the ONLY people on the planet.
