  At Deuteronomy 16:15, Jehovah commanded those celebrating the festival of booths: “You must become nothing but joyful.” Similarly, circuit assemblies and special assembly days are always joyous occasions because of Jehovah’s abundant blessing.

  Must be joyful? There goes the Bible writers again enforcing happiness. The Watchtower likes those kinds of verses.

  Outlaw, it's not like the peddlers in the Jesus story although I like his whip. It's more like getting pickpocketed by people you consider dear friends. Which, of course, is much worse than peddlers trying to sell honest wares.

  Sorry for the repetitious material found near the end of my post. I didn't realize it was there when I started the thread and once I realized the problem, I tried to edit, but there was some sort of a "script problem" which prohibited me from getting into the post and taking the distracting sentences out. I wrote the moderator and asked for help, so maybe she'll figure it out.

  They were selling religious wares, right? Supply and demand for profit, no harm done. It was the priesthood that created the demand for religious consumables effectively inflating their prices. Any cards, conveniently used, at a convention is just armed robbery using doctrine rather than gun.

  It was a money exchange like at an airport..

  You couldn`t buy a animals to sacrifice with Roman Money..

  Doing business in the temple was outrageous..

  Thats why Jesus went after them..
