each to his own I suppose...I smoked for 25 years...gave up two years ago, went cold turkey and that was an absolute nightmare, but horrible enough to put me off starting again, which is lucky because even now there are times I would love a ciggy. My partner still smokes...I only care about that because I worry about his health.
If the smell of smoke bothers you that much why even go on a second date? If you like her more than you care about the smell of smoke then continue going out with her....how difficult is that decision?
She probably hides it from people because it is so frowned upon now...and people make judgements about you as a person. Personally I didn't give a rats arse what anyone thought about me for smoking...but clearly she does.
I think its a bit arrogant dating her while thinking about how you can change her.
