They'll go against what they personally 'know' to be truthful, kinda like a paranoid person. The world is six thousand years old etc. It puts off the non-believer who knows perfectly well that it's crap.
By not listening to what is the kindest side of themselves, they screw themselves up as well as others, not agreeing with themselves. A yes that is no comes from confusion. The Spirit (God within), the water (knowledge) and the blood (forgiveness), are in agreement in the christian.
As fundamentalists, JWs marginalise the Spirit, relying on themselves - christians do the opposite.
