Nothing prevents me. If I wanted to, I would. The fact that I have not should be evidence enough that I don't WANT to. When I do want to, you'll be the first to know, I promise.

Because I haven't decided whether I want to be one of the annointed or one of the other sheep yet, and I think I should know that before I am baptised.

"Because I don't believe all of your doctrines, if I did get baptised, you would just throw me out and shun me. Now, would you like to explain your new generation doctrine using a dictionary and a Bible?"

I always suffered from social anxiety, believed in it but never progressed spiritually, it was a genuine concern of mine at the time, I had spoken to elders to see if there is some way around it to become a non-baptised publisher, there wasn't.

EDIT: Didn't read the rest of your post, say"my heart tells me I'am not ready" lol

IF (only if!) you're ready to be treated as an out-and-out "apostate", consider this response:

"I would not offend God, so I will accept baptism only in the scriptural form Jesus commanded his disciples to use. In Matthew 28, He said 'Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU.' That is scripturally valid baptism, and it is the only one any Christian should accept. I will not accept any baptism that does not conform to the scripture."

(That's quoted from their own NWT version of Matthew 28, if they try to refute it!)

If I recall correctly, the eunuch himself asked the question.

There is a difference between, on one hand, wanting to get baptized (like the eunuch) and then taking the initiative to ask "what prevents me from doing it right here in this body of water?" and, on the other hand, someone asking you to provide reasons explaining why you haven't done it yet. It's two different dynamics.

i like this one alot! and also 'jehovahs earthly organization' is not in matt 28: 19,20
