Oh you are all so YOUNG!!!!! In grade school I was really into folk music. The song "He's got the whole world in his hands" came out and I loved it. Untill my mother said "The whole world in lying in the hands of the wicked one". Jeez, pop my balloon.

I didn't read previouis posts, but I remember ..., oh ..., my ... K*I*S*S
I love KISS,,, my best friend snuck out to see them ... he later 'turned me in' for having what I would now call 'a slight indiscretion' ... bear in mind, I was 17, and he 16. Big crime... NOT!~
Anyway, the funn part of it is,,, one of my (and I'm sure YOURS) favourite KISS songs is this, and it's the one Randy 'testified' was written about me.

oops, sorry ,, off-topic , but I was going there ...
YES,,, KISS was considered demonic ..
we actually (I kid you not!) put a KISS album 'inside' a John Denver album cover, so we could get away with it.
Personal favorites from that era would be "Toys In the Attic", The Wall [note I am discontinuing quotation marks, too many.] Sultans of Swing, Cuts Like A Knife, Liar ~ Rollins Band ...
Henry Rollins is the man

"I chose to stop playing "Blasphemous Rumours" by Depeche Mode; a wonderful song, but it contained what I thought was pretty horrible statements about God. I suppose I still feel a bit uneasy about it, though I play it now."
I was intrigued and scared of that song at the same time. Like you, I now have a different opinion of it. Great group! I saw them during my senior year in high school.

WT Wizard: We Are the World was also trashed because it was "promoting worldly efforts at peace and prosperity".
Don't you find it dumbfounding that, for a religion that prays for worldwide peace and prosperity, the congergation bashed a song promoting just that?
