The latest moniker to describe us is making the rounds at a Circuit Assembly near you: W.A.W. Wicked Apostate Worldlings.

Sat through a Saturday Circuit Assembly, haven't been to one in years, stunningly it was a mix of deja vu and cloistered brainwashing. Deja Vu in that the talks could have come from 1966, nothing has changed about the End Being Near, and harsher with respect to family who are not JWs. The District Overseer, Bro. Koehler, was a piece of work he described his own parents as 'Wicked' because they didn't convert when he preached to them. This guy gives anal-retentive new meaning. The Sisters came under special attack for showing Clevage and Knees (skirts must be below the knees in Koelher world). This guy's putter must stutter going to a Star Bucks, or anyother place where business women socialize. And only pioneers were to be praised, period, the CO, Chin, made that abundantly clear, if you are a faithful regular JW you aren't doing enough and God knows it.

You may choose to never set foot in a JW building again, but if you want any type of affirmation that you did the right thing in leaving it was confirmed by 6 hours of brainwashing. I'm so looking forward to being with Protesters next Saturday and the Walk For Hunger on Sunday, I just need to be around people who care about people.

Hmmm. It's probably best to stay away from them although it can be useful to remind yourself of why you left.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago with a visit to a circuit assembly. Ouch!!!

I was definately right to leave.

Isn't it absolutely amazing what we were exposed to on a regular basis. Its death by a thousand cuts. Everything about the outside world was trashed, nothing was of any value and everything was under the control of satan and demons. One of the worse things they do from a psychological perspective is the control pattern and talking down to the adults like they were capable of henious crimes without Mother Org. telling them how to behave in every detail of their lives.

I couldn't sit and listen to that crap without throwing up.

I will never attend another Meeting of any sort, except I may attend a family members funeral, but if there is going to be a graveside talk or similar, a shorty in the Crem say, I will probably just attend that, even then nausea will not be far away.

A dog will return to its own vomit....is what I thought about when I had the impulse a few years back to show up at a local Circuit Assembly.

I wasn't allowed in, by the way. Lucky me.

@Terry: why weren't you allowed in? They phyically didn't let you in?

Why don't JW's just dress their women in burkas and be done with it. It fits their mentality.

If they wore burquas it would put value villiage out of business.

This last CA confirmed it for me. They are using all the techniques of propaganda/thought reform- and they know it.
