My truth is that I live for peace of mind, I live for now and plan for a modest retirement. I may one day live for causes beyond getting my wife out of the cult, but not now.
I appreciate that others want to save the whales or shoe the children or rescue orphan elephants. I will help where I am moved, I certainly will listen and even applaud. But I have my windmills to conquer with a passion in it's own direction. It's a beautiful world with different passions.
Your view of the truth about life amounts to some huge differences.

Awareness is everything
I absolutely agree! I think most people go through life actually "asleep" to some degree or another... and so aren't only unaware of what (and who) is around them... and what's going on as a result of/in connection with, etc.... spiritually... but even physically (which makes no sense to me, but since many aren't aware in this way, I'm not surprised that they also aren't spiritually)...

It DOES, yes! I mean, one cannot know what IS reality... if one isn't aware of what's actually going on. Again, physically AND spiritually. So, I agree there, yes.
The search for truth is a personal responsibility
Well, you know I've been posting as to THAT for some years, now. No one can get you there... but you. Well, okay, no one can choose TO search... FOR you; you have to choose to do so for yourself. So... we agree, here.

Stands to reason... and something else I've been stating for years. We agree...
It is sometimes easier to believe what we want to, rather than face reality.
Been saying that for awhile, too (although we may disagree on what IS "reality"), so...
Reality is not always agreeable, but it is always truthful.

There is truth in love.
Indeed! Still agreeing with you, dear one... on all counts...
There is truth in the silent witness of nature, for it never lies, it simply is.
And I agree here; nature is what it is... the good (i.e., a kitten playing) AND the bad (i.e., the rawness found IN nature). I don't agree that it is ALL there is, true, but I do not deny the truth that IT is... in its current state (i.e., as we can currently perceive it)...
So... up to this point I vehemently agree with what you stated, the only exception(s) being that nature isn't ALL there is... and thus, not all that is true. As for the rest, well, that's what my post was about. I personally don't believe that not agreeing with someone on EVERYTHING equates to not agreeing with them on ANYTHING. That's kind of WTBTS-ish thinking, IMHO... and I left that quite awhile ago. No desire to return to it, at all... not even to make a point, dear one.

The truth is that I can't afford to practice any organized religion right now. I need money, lots of it. I work seven days a week, 12 hours a day to get it. It may not be the source of happiness, but I gotta tell you, it helps.
When I am comfortable materially, then I will take another look at spirituality.
That is my truth.
"My" truth is that when I am fully present to "what is" there is no "me" to be found. Just as past and future exist only as concepts, so too do "I" exist only as a concept. Without any concept of I/me there exists a simple, pure, silent, still, and peaceful sense of existence that is vibrantly alive and whole, and not separate from anything.
When things are in sync, mind, body and heart. Such I find sometimes when playing my instrument, sometimes when practising alone and have total focus. Other times when jamming with the boys and I'm not really thinking about playing, it just happens. Just going with the flow and looking from different perspectives. Or what was previously not seen or not working is suddenly clear and is just right.
I tend to follow my instincts as much as possible; they never steer me wrong. Everything outside myself is an unknown, ever changing and subjective. I project myself upon the world and am also a reflection of the world I see. These are truths to me.
That and a good shag whenever possible...lol
