  To dispense with the report that has been almost there for ever looks suspicious - likes there's something to hide.

  I think this thread was posted somewhat in jest, but actually there is something to hide.

  It is the ever-growing number of memorial partakers.

  So far, their only explanation for this defiance of the published doctrine is: The new partakers (except for new GB candidates) must be mentally diseased.

  As another thread observed, they have already laid the groundwork: They have stated in clear terms that they do not know and do not care how many of the annointed there are on earth today. That is probably the first step toward dropping the report of this number.

  No doubt it is embarrassng to the WTS that worldwide growth is down and Memorial partakers are up. Discontinuing the annual Yearbook may depend on whether or not it is still a money maker for them. If it's not, then easy to cite the economy as a reason to discontinue it. If still printed, the WTS can always spin some reason for growth being down (Satan, close to end), and partakers up (mental issues, new light) that the sheep will swallow.
