Oh, and the idea that you shouldn't miss a single meeting because what if something was said from the GB about the Great Tribulation and instructions on where to go next was given in that ONE meeting you missed.

It's ok for a married couple to celebrate their wedding day but a sin to celebrate a birth.

That all holidays are pagan but you can still have the pagan wedding with bridesmaids and grooms. And even though Hannkkah is straight from the OT, JW's don't celebrate it even though Jesus did because the old laws were ousted by Jesus' coming BUT they keep enforcing OT rules in modern times.

"Independent Thinking" is a sin.
"it does not belong to man who is walking to direct his steps."
WTF? Bad enough they deny us freedom of thought, they also want to control our movements as well.

From a contemporary viewpoint the latest "generation' teaching has become the wierdest. It violates all the known 8 rules of Bible interpretation. Rule 1: Definition, Rule 2: Usage, Rule 3: Context, Rule 4: Historic Background, Rule 5: Logic, Rule 6 Precedent, Rule 7: Unity and Rule 8: Inference.
This teaching lacks satisfactory evidence in sufficent amount to satisfy an unpredjudiced mind beyond reasonable doubt. "Evidently", the GB would state otherwise

That one partial scripture in Acts has lead to the death of hundreds, if not thousands, of people who refused a medical procedure that could have saved them...
Actually though, that's not so much weird as unconscionable...

That lions, tigers, wolves, etc. will eat grass...
(I guess that means that deers, zebras and giraffes will eat lions and tigers)

JWs believe that almost everyone or everything represents the anointed remnant. That is so stupid! The Greater Whomever pictures the anointed.

Since the Dubs aren't on "the same page" in different parts of the world, I know someone who went to the KHall in Baltimore in the 70's and 80's and during a wedding reception the Dubs didn't believe in playing records at the reception, what scripture did they get that frorm?
So generally speaking, the answer is, all of their beliefs are just plain out wierd.
