I find ths very funny. May be I should not, but why am I laughing?
November KM do not upset the branch with with your relatives or friends trying to get them to become JW's.

Just like any corporation. The big guys don't want to deal with the reality from the after effects of their defective product. That's what the peons are for...

If they think it is harassment to receive mailings that usually end up in the rubbish or e-mails that usually end up labelled as spam, what about being forced to answer the door on Christmas morning when the witlesses show up then? At least the mailings get thrown in the rubbish at the householders' leisure, without letting additional heated or cooled air out of the house. The e-mails are easy to check and report as spam, when the householder is ready. Neither intrude on a Christmas celebration, make someone late for an appointment, or hold up children from visiting their grandparents or opening their presents on Christmas morning.
As for its being too much work for the Washtowel to process, I would like to add that it is too much work for "publishers" to process return visits.

OK, I only did that once, and it wasn't a Soc publication. It was a Playboy, subscrition.
It wasn't one of my family members, it was for someone at Bethel.
I'm really sorry about that.

Do what I say but not as I do. A very true adage. They want hot leads, not stale ones. Their time is precious. YOur time is totally disposable. They never address quality of product or tangible results in terms of actual converts. Someone posted that FS is just busy work to keep the rank and file busy. If you know JW culture, this is so true. If new converts were important, why can't we have audits of field service reports. Count actual new people at KHs.
I recall being eleven and feeling great shame that I did not have a Bible study. I was told I needed one. Jehovah did not provide. Every adult is just bonkers to study with an eleven yeard old. It is so good to receive validation that I was not just bad or defective. Such a relief.

That's a good one sending a subscrition of Playboy to someone at Bethel. LOL I wish now I had thought of it.
BOTR thats the point I was getting at their time is so precious but our time is disposable. Get out and do more and more but they do not have time to handle stupid slips of paper that are being sent to them either through the mail or internet? In fact on the front of this KM is a part on "Seeds must be watered in order to grow" where they are trying to guilt the memebers to do more RV's.
It just makes me so mad to think about.

If you would like him to receive literature, why not send it directly to him as a gift?
Can you imagine that they would rather say:
"The work is so urgent that we don't want to even waste our precious resources processing the order, afterall we are laying off. Why not just use your money to mail them a book? Oh, don't forget to donate for the book when you pick it up."
Good point about JW's having to harass people in the door-knocking on a regular basis.

Publisher who have received a notice to call on someone who did not personally request a visit have found themselves in an awkward position when the individual expressed irritation.
So, let me get this right. They are claiming it is wrong to put publishers in an 'awkward position' by making them call on people who did not request a visit and expressed irritation, yet this is exactly what they expect the rank and file to do on a daily basis. It does not make sense.
Encouraging publishers to go out en masse at Christmas when people are in the middle of opening presents or enjoying their Christmas dinner is also fine apparently, even though the householder most certainly did not request a visit on that day.
Talk about feeling awkward, I wished the ground would open up and swallow me sometimes. I can remember only too clearly the number of times I was yelled and sworn at by furious householders wearing party hats, and feeling embarrassed as I knew I would feel exactly the same if the situation was reversed.
Unbelievable!!
