Have you even written a short story? We had another writer on this board years ago, I loved the way she wrote. She would occ post a short story.

He sat pensively at the kitchen table staring at a torn envelope Andrew J. Vincent a name that always brought him pleasure and a confident feeling. A name can stear your life "should we give him the job his name is perfect" but had it really helped. What if he had been called good old Andy Vincent a man who was always there to help his neighbors or that weirdo cool character dru jay vincent a crazy musician. maybe a classy european Mr. A J. Vincenti would have been the ticket. Be some other name what's in a name that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet so says Juliet.

Andrew J. Vincent it really is a perfect name and who will have it next it was a gift to me and what have i done with it. He put the envelope down got up poured himself a drink and fixed a sandwich sat in his easy chair and turned on the tv.

CoCo, your writing reminds me of a Yeats, with a bit more attention to detail. Absolutely exquisite. And nancy drew, your short stories are quite excellent as well, short, to the point, and they have wonderful endings (a bit like O'Henry).

I can definitely empathize with the unrequited love CoCo, definitely.

His face, his actions, not his mind.

Not until she had read his words,
Words dripping with love and despair,

And, of course, unfulfilled expectation.

She follows it, follows it till she enters into
Its deepest caverns, to look, to probe, to save?

His heart is burning - this she knows, O how she knows it.

Because he never was allowed to see the sun.
His porcelain skin is lustrous and must not be marred.

The mane of burnished gold that falls about his lovely neck, Dextral and sinistral, frames a visage that can be described

In no manner other than exquisite: Adonisian.
But she is some jealous ... will she keep him?

Or, will she not and, thereby, erase all traces of
The fairer of these two beautiful, tragic souls?
