The grass still grows and rivers flow,
but since I don't have you, my beloved,
Of what importance is the sun's rise or the
sun's setting now that you've gone away? Both my heart and you, dearest Sarah,
have been ripped from my life and I haveBeen left bleeding with wounds eternally not
stanched and a life with nary a scrap of love ... -

Your writings are always beautiful! Don't worry if you don't get many comments, I think sometimes they are so touching we cannot comment. Or we may feel like we would muck up your beautiful thread much like the bull in a china store.
Please keep posting, they are beautiful and often give us a short reprieve of daily life or thinking about jw's and their crazy ways.

Good morning, dear on the rocks, tornapart and carla:
I certainly appreciate your kind words - thank you so much!
As I commented elsewhere, when writing, I'm somewhat removed - detached - from the pain that appears to permeate my verse. Maybe past suffering has paid off, so to speak. I no longer am concerned, carla, about receiving few comments and am grateful for your insight. Some things cease to matter as I grow older.
May you all find peace and love.

You, my beloved - dearest soul ever to touch foot
upon the hallowed earth 'pon which I now kneel -It's but the memory of you, that fading recollection of
glorious moments past that join my aching heart to aWasted soul in an elusive hope that somehow, some
way, I might find relief from a descent into madness. The parting of our ways was enjoined upon me by a
sickness that struck at a weakness we neither of usKnew did lurk; and lurk and menace it did until in full
and robust form it burst forth fully conceived from anUnsuspecting heart: your once pure and noble heart
fastened itself on another, a soul whose needinessSupplanted my own needs - those once attended by
you; and so you drifted to him whose heart was, byUrgent necessity, in peril lest you, the healer of those
forlorn, should fail to succor the weaker of us two ... -
