Mrs Jones:Some good BBq ribs would go good with
those greens.
A slab of ribs, add rub. The nite before rub rib down
with ingredients of salt, pepper, cayenne pepper,
onion powder, paprika, chili powder, rub on ribs
liberally. Cover place in refrigerator over nite.
The sauce, Water and bay leaves, boil down until
you have A cup of liquid, remove bay leave and
add left over ingredients from rub, add A little
vinegar, steak sauce and chris & pitts BBQ sauce.
As they say in Oklahoma, it adds A Zann to your BBQ.

Onion POWDER????
Why not use a real, juicy onion? I'd go for a white onion; they seem to have the most 'bite'...
When I bake a thanksgiving - er, a turkey - I take several cloves of fresh garlic, mash or slice them up, and rub them ALL over the turkey. Then I set the little beastie in the oven - UNCOVERED - for FIFTEEN MINUTES, with the oven temperature set at 400 - 450 degrees.
This "sears" the skin and seems to help seal in the moisture.
AFTER the fifteen minutes is up, I have to be sure to TURN THE OVEN BACK DOWN to normal baking temperatures - 300 to 325 - and then let it cook the regular amount of time - COVERED...
Ooooooh, and that turkey skin is to DIE FOR, when that bird comes out of the oven...

Omg she said turkey skin! I love well seasoned crispy turkey skin. It's almost as good as pig skin.
