    God can not be confirmed.

SMH, see this is what I'm talking about. God can not be confirmed, wow. Matter fact, to be fair, I'll put it in context.

No. If from your pov god is myth, that can't be comfirmed. And if you find that God is not a myth that can't be comfirmed either. Please keep confiming yourself. God can not be confirmed. God is greater than anyone. God is in heaven. We can't confirm heaven. We are earth. We can hope to be firmly established on earth. Even the most faithful person can not get to heaven on his own merit.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!! So God is greater than anyone, yet he can't be confirmed? Mike Tyson at one point declared himself the baddest man on the planet, and he confirmed it was true at one point, then Buster Douglas, Lennox Lewis, and Evander Holyfield confirmed it wasn't true. Regardless of the outcome, there was some confirmation!! Now you're telling me God is greater than anyone, but he can't be confirmed. Ummmmmmkayyy......

It is not too far away from the truth to veiw God as myth (I looked it up). Just beware of viewing God as a lie. What would be the point of that anyway?

Since we're on the subject of confirmation, you know even credit card companies provide you with a confirmation number.............the gas company gives you a confirmation number............airline agencies provide you with a confirmation number................ even when the previously mentioned confirmation numbers don't work out in your favor it's not the result of a question of being, but rather poor customer service and a communication breakdown.

It doesn't make sense to me to call an unseen force nothing.

True, the wind can't necessarily be seen with the naked eye, but it's presense is undeniable.

    Love is force.

True, I agree with that. Love is a heluva a motivater. It's caused untold amounts of people to do good on behalf of their fellow man.

    God is love.

Now you've got that horrible song in my head. God is love, loyal love, duh duh duh........ Seriously though, how? If God's very existance is questionable, and the written record we have of him is full of bloodshed, senseless violence, confusion, and turmoil, not to mention the people that he depends on for customer service and representation to the masses tend to be unscrupulous or crackpots with hallucinations, how can this MIA God be love?

What harm is there in meditating on that?

What God will do or won't do is questionable. To doubt God's existance is like saying love's force is a lie. You lose before you can even start if you call god a lie.

The invitation is "draw close to God". You may choose not to. Fine. The only qualifier is "and God will draw close to you". Doesn't say if you don't you'll die or suffer. If you choose not to you will not know God. If you convince yourself there is no God to draw close to you will clear your conscious of "what if". If you convince others that there is no God to draw close to you will feel better about your choice imo and better feels comfortable.

OTWO did you figue it out yet?

You didn't post on my fav thread that I wish will be the longest ever. Because you didn't want to.

I have a will. You have a will. God also has a will (let's pretend). You all think that God's will should match your will better. Because it doesn't well then God doesn't exist.

What does that have to do with a forum thread? My will is it comes out the longest. Your will is not to post. Why? Why won't you post on it? Is it because it is not in harmony with your will? Or perhaps you feel out of character posting on a silly thread. Or perhaps you don't read most of my posts. And God doesn't listen to some prayers. Most prayers, probably.

Well all I can answer is I AM in the last days!!!!It could be any day now!!!!

But the world????Things do seem rough, but when I was in the 2nd War in London
& the bombs were falling all around us ,Many said at that time we were in the last days

.I was NOT a JW back then & didnt believe in any God...The thing I do recognize
in these days,Is the lack of LOVE!!!! In those days people would help each other
so much ,But I find today love is not around.

    My two cents

"It could be any day now!!!!" I think and hope you are joking.

I also have the opinion that love is lacking. The major characteristic of it is people seem unwilling to admit they have hurt someone and are unwilling to say they are sorry. Goodness how hard can it be?

I think that we're in the "last days" - of things like:

    paper newspapers...

physical books - as opposed to "e-books" - except among the Jehovah's Witnesses...

ladies' nylons - except among the Jehovah's Witnesses...

book bags - except among the Jehovah's Witnesses...

    rotary phones...

    push lawnmowers...

gas-guzzler automobiles - except among the Jehovah's Witnesses...

business suits - except among the Jehovah's Witnesses...

But "last days" of humanity - or of the world....?

    Naaaaaaaaahhhhhhh....

What freaks me out is that the physical earth is in so much trouble-the ice sheets melting, permafrost unfrosting and providing extra CO2 to an already taxed enviroment, destruction of animal species and plant species.

The tremendous amount of 'tribalism', i.e., the fracturing of the populous of various countries, militant religious countries with atomic weapons make me freak out too.

I often wonder if I'm deluding myself into thinking 'the end' is actually much closer than I realized and I'm damned to be dead forever. Old thought patterns, I guess, yet they leave me cold sometimes, and doubting my rejection of the JWsn thoughts of armageddon.
