We're doing great. We have the Christmas tree up in the front room and have made every effort to move on. My son is in cubs and received 9 badges last night of all he has achieved this term. My daughter is less stressed and busy living a normal life and making friends who don't judge her. I received a distinction in my last uni course and am about to sign up for the last element to get my degree. I would like to move into counselling once I complete my psychology degree since cult counsellors are few and far between. There is a real need out there. Life is busy and fulfilling there is life after the cult.

Hi Timmy, it's always a pleasure to chat with you.
I think you inadvertantly answered your own question as to why the JW feels the need to "encourage" your brother and father to go back to the meetings. You said when he outed you, he "thought he was doing the right thing." Many JWs, especially young men, are conditioned to "do the right thing." They make excellent pioneers and ministerial servants, in the hopes they'll eventually become elders. It's likely this JW still believes he's doing the right thing by inviting your brother and dad back to the meetings. I used to be like that. Likely in this JW's mind, whether your brother and dad go back to the meetings isn't of consequence, as long as he did his part in inviting them. It's really nothing personal ... sadly.
