Source here, page 19, par 20:

"20 A North American brother writes:

“When my wife and I attended an assembly

in 2006, we had been baptized

for 30 years. While driving home after

the program, we discussed how we

could apply the counsel given on simplifying

    our life. (Matt. 6:19-22)We owned

three homes, land, luxury cars, a boat,

and a motor home. Feeling that we must

have looked like foolish Christians (emphasys mine), we

decided to make the full-time ministry our goal."

    Really?! "Foolish Cristians"!?

Yet, Mother can own over a Billion dollars worth in real estate and be perfectly fine. The balls these people have...

There are other gems in there for those interested....

Had to add this one too:

    " THE GOOD OLD DAYS

6 One distinct danger is a distorted view of the good old days. Our memory is not always reliable. We may unwittingly minimize

the problems we had in the past and at the same time exaggerate the joys, making it seem that things were a lot better than they really were.

This distorted recollection can cause us to long for the good old days. But the Bible warns us: “Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these days?’ for

it is not wise to ask that.” (Eccl. 7:10, New English Translation)Why is this type of thinking so dangerous?"

Wait, aren't you a$$holes trumping exactly that? How things now are WAY worse than they were in "the good old days", how the world is getting wicked by the minute?

Is it your unreliable memory, or the deliberate amnesia you try to put your sheep in?

Heed your own advice : “Do not say, ‘Why were the old days better than these days?

Geez, these guys are heartless. They want to rip the comfort of fading memories that accentuate the positive things in an aging person's past and call it evil. Grandma sitting and remembering how she loved her children, how they made her gifts and gave her hugs and were so smart, while conveniently forgetting the tantrums, the messes, and the fights and she is a sinner!!!

Oh, and how bold they are to target the very few rich JW's and covet their belongings.

Be upset all the time. Be sad. If you get comfortable, we will lose our control. The bible SAYS you shouldn't think about the past or any time in history as good---no, no, it's all horrible all the time.

It didn't say that they rid themselves of the worldly possessions. (Mark 10:21)

Too bad for the majority of pioneers who began at a young age and must struggle financially their entire lives ... it must be nice for this couple to be able to do this in comfort ... this is the lesson all JW's should follow, get yourself financially set before you take on the pioneer activity.

It seems that there is absolute crap on every page.

The obligatory mention of Matt 24:45.................................... they're advertizing GB worship yet again.....

This is on page 9 OMG!!!

    Use Your Theocratic Library.

“Who really is the faithful and

    discreet slave whom his master

appointed over his domestics, to give

them their food at the proper time?”

    —MATT. 24:45.

Jesus has appointed a trusted slave class that

dispenses vital spiritual food. When you are giving

    advice and direction regarding important

matters, do you take time to do thorough research

    in Bible-based publications?

The Watch Tower Publications Index and the

Watchtower Library _ place abundant and clear information

at our fingertips. What a mistake it

would be to overlook this wealth of information!

Thousands of topics are cited, with many articles

to help someone seeking advice. How skilled are

you at helping others investigate Bible principles

and reason on God’s Word? Just as a GPS can

help a person identify where he is and guide him

to his destination, so research tools can help him

see the road he is on and discern how to remain

    on the path to life.

Many elders have trained publishers to look up

articles by using the Index or the Watchtower Library,

thus assisting their brothers and sisters to

reason on the Scriptures. Such assistance helps

publishers not only to address their immediate

concerns but also to develop a habit of doing

research and relying on Jehovah’s spiritual provisions.

In this way, they “have their perceptive

powers trained to distinguish both right and

    wrong.”—Heb. 5:14.

    Then there’s the box……

Thanks to Jehovah ’ s provisions through

his organization, we can both give and receive

    the best advice. Ecclesiastes 12:11

states: “ The words of the wise ones are like

oxgoads, and just like nails driven in are

    those indulging in collections of sentences;

they have been given from one shepherd. ”

Just like “ oxgoads ”— pointed sticks used to

guide draft animals — loving and sound advice

guides sincere ones in the right

direction. “ Nails driven in ” produce stable

    structures. Similarly, sharing good advice

can produce stable results. Wise ones ‘ indulge, ’

    or find unrestrained delight, in

considering “ collections of sentences ” that

reflect the wisdom of their “ one shepherd, ”

    Jehovah.

Echo the Shepherd when giving advice.

What a privilege to provide a listening ear

along with helpful counsel whenever we

can! When truly based on Bible principles,

our advice will prove to be sound and may

contribute to the everlasting good of the

    listener.

The evil empire states in its writings that the only joy possible in this old system is service to Jehovah. So, anything that is not centered around workship to the Govern Body that brings you joy must discarded. They can't have you finding joy outside their organization, now. You might start thinking you can be happy without them.

Many elders have trained publishers to look up articles by using the Index...

Seriously! They think people, sorry, 'publishers' have to be trained to use an index?

Maybe if they let the publishers get some education...

Well, you see Brother Born-in, 'A' comes before B. I hope that helps you to resolve your question with the help of the publications.

Jehovah(TM) is an imaginary brand name god invented by the watchtower corporation trading as Jehovah's witnesses(TM). His organization? Oh, I get it. OBEY the GB! We'll end up speaking like nutty cult members if we heed the advice of the watchtower(TM) so their statement is utter b0((ocks!
