I am doing a personal research project and looking for examples of how the Watchtower usurps Jesus postion. Scriptural or WT references would be great. Thanks!

Jesus: This generation will not pass away until all these things occur.
Watchtower: Jesus should have said "overlapping generation."

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. John 14:6
And what does the Watchtower say? Nobody gets life but by them.
And they will say, sure, but they are the ones directing people to Jesus by the house to house ministry. Are they directing people to Jesus or doctrine?

Here are some I had:
"By submitting to the slave class, God’s people also show their subjection to the Master, Jesus Christ." (w02 10/1 p. 19)
"Make haste to identify the visible theocratic organization of God that represents his king, Jesus Christ. It is essential for life. Doing so, be complete in accepting its every aspect. We cannot claim to love God, yet deny his Word and channel of communication." (w67 10/1 pp. 591-92)
And the big one: (copied off of a web site)
The Bible says that there is “one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus” (1 Tim. 2:5). A mediator is somebody who acts as an ambassador, a channel of communication between two parties. By claiming to be such a channel, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is usurping some of Christ’s role. They are careful not to call themselves a mediator and hide behind the designation "faithful and discreet slave," but their job description is the same as that of a mediator. Instead of the spiritual direction going from God to Jesus to humans, they are claiming it goes from God to Jesus to "the faithful and discreet slave" (represented by the Governing Body) to humans. Also, the way they stress the need for the organization to teach the Witnesses and guide them in their thinking and conduct, the Watchtower Society effectively usurps the role of the Holy Spirit who, as Jesus promised, ‘will teach you all things’ and ‘guide you into all truth.’ (John 14:26; 16:13)

Acts 1:8 Jesus said they would be witnesses of him
in 1931 Judge Rutherford said no you won't, you will
be called Jehovah's witnesses
and all through the book of acts show where the apostles
did just what Jesus asked they were even given the divine
name of christians
Isaiah 43:10 does not over ride acts 1:8 cause that was before
the birth, death and the resurrection of Jesus
Jesus was givien the authority by his father to be able to tell
the apostles to be witnesses of him, rutherford tried to take that away

The Bible says that there is “one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus” (1 Tim. 2:5) [...] By claiming to be such a channel, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is usurping some of Christ’s role.
Is support of your mention, here is a quote from one of the WTS publications...
(Worldwide Security Under the Prince of Peace (book) p10,11 par16)
“Jesus Christ is not the mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members.” -

WHERE'S JESUS?
*** w94 10/1 p. 8 The Bible—A Book Meant to Be Understood ***
JESUSassured us that after his death and resurrection, he would raise up a “faithful and discreet slave” that would serve as his channel of communication. (Matthew 24:45-47) The apostle Paul identified this channel to the Ephesian Christians when he wrote that “there might be made known through the congregation the greatly diversified wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose that he formed in connection with the Christ, Jesus our Lord.” (Ephesians 3:10, 11) It was the congregation of anointed Christians, born at Pentecost 33 C.E., that was entrusted with the “things revealed.” (Deuteronomy 29:29) As a group, anointed Christians serve as the faithful and discreet slave. (Luke 12:42-44) Their appointed assignment from God is to provide spiritual understanding of the “things revealed.”
Even as Bible prophecy pointed forward to the Messiah, it also directs us to the close-knit body of anointed Christian Witnesses that now serve as the faithful and discreet slave. It helps us to understand the Word of God. All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the “greatly diversified wisdom of God” can become known only through Jehovah’s channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave.—John 6:68.
*** w07 12/15 p. 20 par. 16 “Stand Firm and See the Salvation of Jehovah” ***
Today, we may not clearly see why some organizational matters are handled in a certain way, but we have every reason to trust in Jehovah’s guidancethrough his faithful channel of communication.
*** w06 9/1 p. 28 par. 5 “Let Your Petitions Be Made Known to God” ***
: “If you ask the Father for anything he will give it to you in my name.” (John 16:23) Hence, we are required to pray in Jesus’ name, recognizing Jesus as the sole channel through which God’s blessings are extended to all mankind.
*** w03 6/1 p. 21 par. 16 Stand Still and See the Salvation of Jehovah! ***
Trusting in Jehovah will include trusting the modern visible channel that he has clearly been using for decades to serve his purposes. As never before, true Christians will then need to place their confidence in fellow worshipers authorized by Jehovah and his reigning King to take the lead.
*** w02 12/1 p. 22 par. 15 Personal Study That Equips Us as Teachers ***
This points to the importance of keeping up with our understanding of the truth as revealed by Jehovah through his Word and through the faithful and discreet slave class.

If you have ever been to a Bible Students convention you occasionally hear a prayer directed to Jesus where it never happens in a KH.
