We miss you, hope to see you soon. Your dad will be wondering where you are at the resurrection. Love, Bro. XXXXXXX
I wonder if you'll miss the ~7 billion that currently inhabit the earth, too?
Shameful.

"Thanks for reminding me you think God is going to kill me any minute now. Love you XXX"

"Do you really want me to come back due to emotional blackmail? XXX"
Welcome pghdjmarty..
That was very well said:
Quote:Isn't the reason to be a JW is for the sanctification of Jehovah's name? If you're going to do it for selfish reasons, like seeing your loved one after Armageddon, you're not going to make it anyway."
That was what I used to tell my jw hubby and his mom before he died. They used to tell me that my hubby would get a new wife in the new system if I didn't come back..I told them that would be selfish reasons for going back and not right according to what they teach..( I liked to say "What they teach" because just because they say it doesn't make it "The Truth".)
Snoozy
A resurrected relative will have no memories of what has passed away. The "former things" have passed away and will not be called to mind.
I always said, "I'm sure if the Supreme Soverign of the entire universe wanted to peer into my heart and decide I've got a place in Paradise, then, nothing could stop Him; not even the opinion amateur religious people."
Hell of a reply there Terry- I hope I can remember that one if needed!
According to their own teachings no one will have bad memories of the past, so our relatives IF they were in this illusory "new system" would not "recall us or bring us to mind" anyway....case closed.
How about?
"If you make it to Armegheddon & I don't, please tell my dad that I had a great time running with the Devil before Armegheddon. If I make it to Heaven and you don't, I'll tell Jesus that you believed in the Watchtower Society and its many failed, false prophetic predictions? In the meatime, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
or . . .
"Your text implies that you know that I am not in Jehovah God's favor, but you are. That's a rather pompous ass-umption on your part. Jehovah does not like people who judge others. If Jehovah is an all-understanging God as you say, He will understand my not accepting the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society as my mediator. If you would like to humble yourself to talk with me as a fellow human being, I would be of glad assistance to be your friend should you ever decide to leave the Organization. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
(these both show that you don't believe as he does. If you don't share the same "fear", he can't control or manipulate you.)
How about, "Tell my dad if he REALLY misses me, then why doesn't HE contact me?"
WT Love = Everyone else's description of Control
skeeter, i like your first humorous response.
P.S. I also like your serious response. (the second suggestion)
nothing like a good ol fashioned judging to get the day started right!
