Just remembered a comment from an old man at a meeting one time he stated that God said not to eat meat from animals with the split hoof at the time because at that time the meat was dangerous for man to eat because sience was not advanced in them days for curing of meat and preventing of deseases.
Why would god create animals that he finds disgusting and unclean??

A pig is only disgusting to us; to another pig, it's prolly either competition or pretty sexy.
As for god, rituals and changing the rules, I don't think the pig cares too much.

certain animals are ment to dispose of waste.

if you had to to survive, sure. but as a daily meal, well so much for your health.
they are not damned animals, they are the filth eaters. the unclean eaters. and you want to eat them. wierd.
god was just looking out for your health. if these animals didn't exist, the situation would be worse as far as decomposing waste.

Prepair the carp ie (fish).
Nail it to a pine board.
Bake it for three hours @ 350deg
Take it out of the oven.
Next throw the carp in the trash.
And eat the board. -

Actually it is the red on the meat on fish such as carp that makes the meat taste bad. Cut the red meat off the white meat before you cook it and it is good. It works on some other fish I have tried, haven't tried the carp yet. Seen people prepare it that way though. They skin fish by the river and cut the red off when they get home.
