    WOW!
I wonder if Henry P has seen this yet.
He's still using the library excuse as a justification for WT being a NGO.

Here are his words from another thread found at
    * http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=21986&site=3

You are assuming that the association of the Watchtower with the UN was a gross sin and not an innocent act in order to take advantage of a resource for upcoming articles. By your statements in this post you doubt the sincerity of the Watchtower's explanation on the reason they became an NGO.
Why should we doubt our brothers? Is becoming an NGO the same as fornicating with the enemy? I don't think so. The brothers obviously saw a benefit without compromising our loyalty to Jehovah. They took advantage of what the UN was offering, but they did not back it up as humanity's solution to its problems. They never said that it is Jehovah's instrument to bring peace and security to earth. I do not see the actions of these brothers as a "sin".

I am sorry to point out that maybe on this issue, you have read too much into the "apostate reasoning" that is presented with the supposed "proof". If one looks at this "proof" without the demonized reasoning, then there is nothing to it.

    Thanks Hawk!!!!

15 What will be the outcome of all of this? Jehovah’s prophetic Word leaves no doubt. In the first place, what lies ahead for the world’s false religions that have so often been extremely friendly with the UN? They are the offspring of one idolatrous fountainhead, ancient Babylon. Appropriately, they are described at Revelation 17:5 as “Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.” Jeremiah described the doom of this hypocritical conglomerate.Harlotlike, they have seduced earth’s politicians, flattering the UN and forming illicit relations with its member political powers. They have been major participants in the wars of history. One commentator stated with reference to religious warfare in India: “Karl Marx referred to religion as the opium of the masses. But that statement cannot be quite right because opium is a downer, it lulls people into a stupor. No, religion is more like crack cocaine. It unleashes tremendous violence and is a very destructive force.” That writer is not quite right either. False religion is both stupefying and destructive.
16 What, then, should honesthearted people do? God’s messenger Jeremiah gives us the answer: “Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and provide escape each one for his own soul. . . . For it is the time of vengeance belonging to Jehovah.” Happy we are that millions have fled from the confines of Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion. Are you one of these? Then you can well understand how Babylon the Great has affected the nations of earth: “From her wine the nations have drunk. That is why the nations keep acting crazed.”—Jeremiah 51:6, 7.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9 Over the centuries, the “mother of the harlots,” false religion, has performed fairly well in controlling the affairs of beastlike nations and empires. As Revelation 17:9 shows, she has sat on governmental mountains, and Re 17 verse 15 describes her as sitting upon “waters,” meaning “peoples and crowds and nations and tongues.” When the combination “scarlet-colored wild beast” appeared in 1920 as the League of Nations, and when it reappeared in 1945 as the United Nations, “Babylon the Great” maneuvered so as to get astride this international body, to gain benefit and profit.
    “Fleeing to the Mountains”
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17 All who flee to Jehovah’s organization must cease giving support to any part of Satan’s system on earth. They must become “no part of this world,” and they must stay out of it. They must shun its religion, its politics, its campaigns of violence, its materialism, its immorality. (John 18:36) They must dedicate themselves to Jehovah God, live according to his righteous principles and make known to others his glorious kingdom purposes. Never may they grow drowsy or return to the fleshpots of the world. Continually, they ‘must exert themselves vigorously’ to gain God’s approval and entry into his new order.—Luke 13:24; 9:23; 2 Timothy 2:15.
18 In this year, 1982, the threat to Christendom’s claimed “holy place” has become a real one. Indeed, world religion’s perch on the back of the UN “beast” is most precarious. ‘Discerning’ this, Jehovah’s Witnesses give urgency to the call: ‘Flee out of false religion, yes, out of all of Satan’s world system—flee to God’s organization for refuge!’ Like Jerusalem of the first century, Christendom now faces “desolations . . . an extermination.” And so does the entire world empire of false religion, Babylon the Great!—Daniel 9:26b, 27b; Revelation 18:2, 4.

THE MYSTERY OF THE SCARLET WILD BEAST
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because of its general features, this scarlet-colored wild beast is the “image of the wild beast” whose creation the apostle John told of in Revelation 13:14, 15 but whom he did not there describe. As it is an image and is for idolatrous worship, Babylon the Great favors it. She is pleased to ride it or be carried along by it. Idolaters justify the use of idols by saying that they are aids to the worship of the gods pictured by the idols, which idols they give only a “relative worship.” By the wild beast’s “image” they worship the international conspiracy against God’s kingdom. The image is that international organization formed for preserving the political governments of this world, especially by means of settling their differences through peaceful arbitration.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first meeting of its General Assembly took place in London, England (of the dual world power), on January 10, 1946; that of the Security Council seven days later.
Jehovah’s Christian witnesses immediately recognized that the scarlet-colored wild beast had now ascended out of the abyss. But they did not worship it any more than they had joined Babylon the Great and the worldly nations in idolizing the League of Nations, the “beast” in its original form. However, the people of this old world, “those who dwell on the earth,” wondered admiringly at it.
The chartered purpose of the United Nations was “to maintain international peace and security.” Hence people felt somewhat more assured that now the first symbolic wild beast, which had ascended out of the sea, would keep on existing. This new international organization would preserve peace and security for this wild beast out of the sea. People’s continued admiration for the scarlet-colored “image of the wild beast” is seen in that till now, when we go to press with this book, the membership of the United Nations has steadily increased to 111 member nations.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On April 7 Christendom celebrated her Palm Sunday, to commemorate Christ’s triumphal ride into Jerusalem (Zion) to offer himself to her as her Messianic King. During the following Holy Week Pope John XXIII signed his encyclical entitled “Pacem in Terris” (“Peace on Earth”), while the scene was recorded for television, to be transmitted by the Italian network in a special program and to be made available to television stations all over the earth. The final paragraph dated the delivery of the encyclical with the words: “Given at Rome at St. Peter’s on Holy Thursday, the eleventh day of April, in the year 1963, the fifth of our Pontificate. JOHN XXIII.” The encyclical was addressed not only to the Roman Catholic “clergy and faithful of the whole world” but also “to all men of goodwill.” Part IV thereof spoke of the “public authority of the world community,” not meaning, of course, the United Nations, for Vatican City is not a member of the UN. It went on to say:
. . . This means that the public authority of the world community must tackle and solve problems of an economic, social, political and cultural character which are posed by the universal common good. For, because of the vastness, complexity and urgency of those problems, the public authorities of the individual states are not in a position to tackle them with any hope of a positive solution.
The public authority of the world community is not intended to limit the sphere of action of the public authority of the individual political community, much less to take its place. On the contrary, . . .
As is known, the United Nations Organization (U.N.O.) was established on June 26, 1945, and to it there were subsequently added intergovernmental agencies with extensive international tasks in the economic, social cultural, educational and health fields. The United Nations Organization had as its essential purpose the maintenance and consolidation of peace between peoples, fostering between them friendly relations, based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and varied forms of cooperation in every sector of human society.
An act of the highest importance performed by the United Nations Organization was the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, approved in the General Assembly of December 10, 1948. In the preamble of that declaration, the recognition and respect of those rights and respective liberties is proclaimed as an ideal to be pursued by all peoples and all countries.
Some objections and reservations were raised regarding certain points in the declaration. . . .
It is our earnest wish that the United Nations Organization—in its structure and in its means—may become ever more equal to the magnitude and nobility of its tasks, and that the day may come when every human being will find therein an effective safeguard for the rights which derive directly from his dignity as a person, and which are therefore universal, inviolable, and inalienable rights. This is all the more to be hoped for since all human beings, as they take an ever more active part in the public life of their own political communities, are showing an increasing interest in the affairs of all peoples, and are becoming more consciously aware that they are living members of a world community.
Pope John XXIII then tied in God’s kingdom with all the foregoing by saying in the sixth last paragraph of the encyclical:
. . . In order that human society may reflect as faithfully as possible the kingdom of God, help from on high is necessary.
However, does the United Nations in any way reflect the Kingdom or will it in any way promote the Kingdom? Does the Pontifex Maximus’ admiration for the United Nations or the international admiration for this “image of the wild beast” make sure that the “public authority of the individual political community” will survive the “war of the great day of God the Almighty”? No! According to what the apostle John wrote, it does not make sure that the people who idolatrously admire and religiously pray for the United Nations will gain life in Jehovah God’s new order of things, which will follow that universal war. God does not write the names of those idolaters in his “scroll of life.” In this scroll, figuratively speaking, he has been writing the names of those worthy of life “from the founding of the world,” that is, from when he founded the human race, the world of mankind. According to God’s written Word, Abel the martyred son of Adam and Eve appears to be the first one “written upon the scroll of life.” (Hebrews 11:4; 12:24; Genesis 4:2-10, 25; Matthew 23:35) The names of those idolaters are not written with that of Abel. Hence lovers of eternal life in God’s new order of things will not join in this modern idolatry.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In what way can it be said that “these have one thought”? Of course, the Charter of the United Nations should fix the thought for all its member nations of “kings” and it should unite them all in one purpose. But the way that the veto power has been used in sessions of the Security Council of the UN, and the refusal on the part of some members to pay the required taxes for certain military ventures of the UN, and the disorders that have featured some of the meetings of the General Assembly, and the continual lack of oneness of mind on crucial proposals as to general disarmament and stopping of nuclear weapons’ testing, etc., all this proves that these “ten kings” are not one in thought. How, then, is the angel’s prophecy true, that “these have one thought”? In this way:
The modern-day “ten kings” have “one thought” in opposing God’s Messianic kingdom, his kingdom in the hands of the “Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.” The very League of Nations and its successor, the United Nations, represent an international conspiracy against God’s kingdom, which was born in the heavens in 1914 at the end of the Gentile Times. This international organization for peace and security by human means is a deceptive counterfeit for God’s kingdom by his Lamb, which Jehovah’s witnesses have been preaching to all the nations since the end of World War I. Thus the whole scarlet-colored “wild beast” is against the heavenly Messianic kingdom. In order to support a substitute for that kingdom and in order to further their fight against that Messianic kingdom, the symbolic ten horns or kings do unitedly “give their power and authority to the wild beast,” just as Revelation 17:13 foretold. Other nations that are not members of the United Nations are just as much against God’s Messianic kingdom. Accordingly they take part with the “wild beast” in this opposition.

    What do I do?

That is due to the size fo the scans posted. I am not the best at this and my equipment where I am sucks. So I give what I can give and hope it works out.

You can still print off the documents if you need too.

However, just like on the right side of the window screen there is a "bar" that allows you to move the document "up and down" - well at the bottom of the window there should be a similar "bar" that will allow you to move the document "right to left".

    G'day Hawkaw,

Well done! I read this post earlier today and was telling Mrs Ozzie about it but now it's unobtainable. What a shame!

    Has it disappeared?

Have you sent a copy to Kent for him to put up on his site?

Can you e-mail it to me? Would really appreciate showing it to Mrs Ozzie.

    Thanks.

I have always stated that the Society is thier WORST enemy

THIER VERY OWN PAPER TRAIL is what destroyes them

in the years to come it will be very hard to convince a nonjw who has the chance to review this type of matter prior to baptism- HE WILL NOT GET BAPTIZED

just think if we had to chance to have all the cards of WT on the table when many of us got baptized we would have never hit the water

it is SO IMPORTANT TO THE WT that they get you to buy into the WE SPEAK FOR GOD mindset- for without that it is very hard to explain to a reasonable person that this is not straight hypocrisy

once a person accepts WE SPEAK FOR GOD then in my exp and the exp of most of us here it is almost too late
FOR AT THAT POINT the person is now willing to accept anything REGARDLES OF HOW GOOFY IT SOUNDS

that is why we see folks like YK NYTELcom1 fred hall and many others READ THIS STUFF AND and so THEY DID A BAD THING

but i ain't giving up "MY SHOPPPING CART"
