So what do you think?
A film that is analogous of the Watchtower's demonization of the Internet and isolation from the outside world...

Yes, see also The Island, The Truman Show, Pleasantville and Tangled for similar themes.

I hated that flick too, but it is a fitting representation of the Watchtower. Somebody on here did a thread on the most recent animated version of the girl with the long hair trapped in the tower being analogous of the Watchtower. I can't recall the name of that film, but the heroines growth and curiosity about the world about was supposed to be similar to that of a born-in JW.

Thanks No Room For George - nice new avatar by the way. Is that Saddam Hussein moments before the hatch opened?!
I actually quite liked The Village. It was atmospheric and scary as hell. It isn't entirely analogous, in that the "creatures" turn out to be the village elders or "Governing Body" themselves - but it well demonstrates how easy it is to demonize something that is entirely harmless or doesn't actually exist.

What the server does when you submit your post is look for certain parts of your post to "match" preset "link criteria." It's most likely using a regular expression to get the matching done.
What I believe it matches for is a youtube link (ie http://www.youtube.com/?v=video_id) that is marked as an HTML link.
So here's the easiest way to make it work on this forum:
- Open JWN poster in one tab
- Open Youtube video in another
- Copy the Youtube video's address bar (http://whatever)
- Paste that into the JWN posting text area
- Highlight the just pasted link text
- Click the "link" icon in the text area formatting pane
- Paste the same link text into the LINK URL field in the now popped up hyperlink pane
- For the TARGET dropdown choose "new window" _blank
- Click insert
Now the link text should be underlined like a hyperlink. What that does is prepares the video to be correctly matched as a youtube video LINK and therefore replaced with the youtube embeded video player. I'll admit there are more easy, but sometimes unreliable, ways to do it. But using this poster to format the link is your best bet.

I do feel that the Village is analogous of the Witnesses. That movie felt too much like a trick then entertainment, so it even works on that plane.
