And, for the record, the product costs 30 toilet papers. Which I would rather spend on more useful products, such as an ounce of silver (which at least will help me when things get really expensive as the dollar becomes worthless.

To compare, a L.L. Bean sweater isn't that much more expensive. As a bonus, if it starts getting too warm, I can easily take it off. Try that with the Forever Lazy.

On a related note... I've noticed that people in general just don't really give a shit how they look anymore.

While I don't wish to go back to overly dressed, stuffy, pretentious styles of many years ago and I too enjoy my sweats and t-shirt attire when not going in public, there seems to be a point that we've crossed from being "comfortable, relaxed" to a "sloppy, slack, I don't care" look.

I had to go to court not to long ago. I was the plaintiff. I dressed for court. Slacks, dress shirt, jacket, no tie though. It wasn't a normal court room. Not like TV. More like an office. The defendant came in wearing sweat pants, t-shirt, NY Mets baseball cap. And it was that flat brim look (I hate that - bend the bill on that hat). The judge had to have him remove his cap. He sat in his chair all slouched out. I noticed that his oversized tennis shoes were untied, no laces even.

I know that the judge is supposed to be impartial and serve judgement based on facts, but if I were judge and this guy came in wearing that, I'd be prejudiced. If you can't come to court without looking like you even tried to dress yourself, then don't expect sympathy from me. Good thing I ain't a judge I guess.

But I see it in the workplace. While we have a relaxed dress code, people take it to extremes. It's embarrassing what some of these people were. I wouldn't wear some of that crap to paint a barn let alone come into the work place knowing my bosses would see me. I would think that they would reason that I am unable to present myself in a manner where they could put confidence in my ability to do my job. If I can't dress myself, how can I do anything they give me to do any better?

Part of me thinks I'm just being an old fuddy-duddy... but I don't think I really am. I do see some people dressing up nice, even in casual situations. There's a place for snuggies and sweat pants but it shouldn't be considered everyday attire for the office, for court, for lunch at the cafe, or dinner at the restaurant. Take some pride in yourself and dress like you've got a smidgen of common sense.

Rant over.... soap box put away...

    Hah!

Would you believe it? I've missed out on opportunities to GET jobs because I dressed TOO WELL - nylons, low heels, moderate business suit or dress....

But of course, this is Colorado - which is a VERY SLOPPY state. Er, "laid back" - that's what THEY call it....

Oh, and you should see Boulder...

I recall too when sweat pants meant a woman or man had just given up. I recall the Seinfeld episode with George who had on a Velvet sweat pants and top. Jerry said he'd just given up, or something close to that. He just wanted to drape himslef in velvet.

I enjoyed the athletic wear of the 80's and always associate Olivia Newton john with it, b/c of her song "let's get physical".

I am glad to to see the fad die out of wearing this attire in public -unless you are going to a gym.

I love to be comfy at home and most of time I am in my jeans- that is why I think I might like the pajama jean. ( the price is ridiculous) . If I lounge around I like to be in long gowns like this one
