Happy New Year to you as well.
I'm in an e-mail "convesation" with a friend who is Catholic. Back and forth.
He is an apologist, of course. Also, he is a terrible father. Not just my opinion. He played favorites with his two daughters and it has led to disastrous consequences. I so want to tell him: "What you believe means absolutely NOTHING if you don't treat people right." But, I can't.
Giving advice to JW's is pretty much the same thing. You just want to tell them all their wonderful "TRUTH" is worthless without showing love and consideration for EVERYBODY.

Hey Terry, I don't suppose you have a reference to where the Watchtower tells its membership not to pray for ex-members. I'd love to stash that one in my portfollio of embarassing doctrine.

My advice to Jehovah's Witnesses ? Please, please do research on the Internet about your beliefs being taught you from the WT society. If you are feeling suspicious about certain teachings or practices of the WT society- follow your intuition and look into it. Learn to LISTEN to your intuitions or doubts. They are correct. There is a REASON you are having doubts. It's NOT Satan. It's NOT that you are imperfect and a sinner. You have a good authentic personality and mind you were born with - USE it to prove these things to yourselves. My hope and wish for you in 2012 ? That you gain freedom of mind and are not in captivity to a huge corporation which wishes to keep you enslaved for their own financial benefit . Take care, and have a good 2012. Peace out, mr.
