I am sure many more will come to mind after I post this, but the first one that I thought of was in the move, To Kill a Mockingbird....
Atticus Finch, after defending a black man in an early 20th century racist southern court, walks alone out of court....
The gallery balconies, filled with black observers...and Finch's daughter Scout, kneeling against the railing watching....
One of the black men tells her..., "Stand up Miss Scout -- your father's passing by."
