I have only been on this site for few hours so I'm just learning how things work. Thank's Zid for the advice of starting a new thread. My sister is Scary21. Our mother has been a devoted JW for years. My sister and I were never baptized and it's a good thing because we would've been disfellowshiped and lost our mother forever. I can not even imagine the pain some have to endure ; (

My boyfriend's daughter was a JW. She wrote a letter and disassociated herself but she continues to attend the Sunday meeting. I want to know if anyone has ever heard of such a thing??????????????????? I just don't get it?????????? She says it's because of the kids who are 6 & 7. She wants them to be able to make their own mind up when they are old enough. I feel sorry for the kids living in fear of demons and the end. Just as I did.

Gday to you enda75 welcome here and hope you find the friends you need.

There has been a wave of "undercover" JW coming here and just going on an all out offensive against people here!

Glad you have some family to associate with.

    Enjoy.

    Regards

    Az

PS Yes im DF and going back for the sake of my children to try and save them.

    Hello and welcome,

Glad that you're out and too bad for your Bf's daughter's kids. I imagine that she DA herself because she wanted to do her own thing while deeply believing that wts was still the truth and didn't want to "offend Jehovah" by actions. Maybe try to show your BF how dangerous wts is and that he should maybe speak with his daughter of dangers that she may be putting her kids in. If she's not afraid to think for herself and do her own research try to encourage her or your BF to encourage her to do indepth independent research into wts. jwfacts.com is a good site for starters. Ray Franz' book Crisis of Conscience is also a very good book for those who haven't done a thorough research yet.

Welcome. It is unusual to disassociate and continue attending. It sounds like she may still believe, and disassociating could have been for some other reason than doctrinal.

She says it's because of the kids who are 6 & 7. She wants them to be able to make their own mind up when they are old enough.

That reasoning is quite twisted, and it would be good for someone to talk to your boyfriend's daughter about what is going on, the history of the religion etc. If she wants the children to make their own mind up about religion, then all religions should be given a fair chance. That means attending all religions (which would be impossible) or none at all. IMHO The children should not be unduly influenced (indoctrinated) into any religion at a young age. It would be better for the mother to spend the amount of time wasted at meetings with personal time with the children where should could give an overview of many religious ideas, if the children are interested in such things, which I am sure they are not at 6 and 7.

Thank you for sharing the article. After I watched the video Faith in Action, it made me realized that Scary21 and I were raised in a CULT. If you asked my mother what she is going to do in the new system, her response would be "WHATEVER THEY TELL ME TO" How sad is that : ( Poor brainwashed mother.
