Getting D/F or D/Aing and then going back is what happens when people leave or are kicked out but still believe.

Thats why i think it is so important that those who even just want to be 'naughty; or 'normal' must spend time while out, finding out whether they should go back, whether the JWs are the one true religion.

Welcome to the board. By still attending meetings with the children she is limiting their choices. Meetings are indoctrination and prolonged exposure means that they will be on the treadmill to baptism before they realise it. In order to make an informed choice then they need to look at it objectively from the outside.

Welcome ((((((((((enda75)))))))))) to JWN. Isn't it amazing how easy it was for you to recognize that you were raised in a cult and how difficult it would be for your mother to come to that same conclusion by watching the same video. You may noticed the affects of being raised in the WTBTS cult evern more over time.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

Hi sis, welcome to JWN . You will learn so much here. Dimond and JW facts hit the nail on the head. She still believes JW have the truth , but she is doing things that they would not approve of. She is messing with her childrens minds, and not in good way. In a few years they may get baptized and never speak to her again.. SCARY Ask her how would she like it if she lost her children . No matter what, the kids will have mental problems !

Hello and Welcome! I have a friend who did this (DA'ed and then kept going to meetings) back in the late 90's. I feel that it was a calculated move to keep from having to tell about an embezellment scheme that she had become involved in.

    Hi, Enda75!!!

Thanks for starting this thread - it's so much easier to answer one opening post rather than address several excellent new board members' experiences, all at once!!!

About the boyfriend's daughter - disassociated AND dragging her children to the meetings??? WHAT is that woman THINKING???

    Why did she disassociate herself?

If she disassociated herself because she didn't agree with all of their teachings, WHY would she want her children to learn the religion???

I wonder if she disassociated herself rather than be disfellowshipped....

That is the ONLY logical explanation I can think of, for her bizarre behavior...

Or perhaps that she still thinks it's "The Truth ™ ".... Or wants her children to have contact with Jehovah's Witness family still "in"...

I'm very much concerned that she's going to bitterly regret that, someday...

Anyway, thanks again for starting this thread - I'm looking forward to hearing more from you!

Ooooo!!! [just read everyone else's posts... ]

    What JW Facts said!!

"If she wants the children to make their own mind up about religion, then all religions should be given a fair chance. That means attending all religions...."

EXCELLENT advice!!! [I'd just take them to all the religions available in her area, then check out books on such exotic religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Shintoism from the library, and go from there...]

OH!! and ALSO check out books on CULTS and discuss THEM with the children!!! VERY important!!

And a huge wave to WasBlindfor thinking of her favorite She-Devil....

    Waitasec...

I AM your FAVORITE she-devil, right...???

She says it's because of the kids who are 6 & 7. She wants them to be able to make their own mind up when they are old enough.

That is very confusing. The way you write it, I get the impression that she personally takes them, so they can decide if they want to be JW's. That would indicate that she still believes it is "the truth" but won't live the rigid lifestyle. Or is it that their father makes sure they go, so she thinks she needs to go to the KH, so she can keep tabs on what they are learning?

It sounds like the person to help is the adult here. She needs to figure this out. You can find a bunch of help here and places like jwfacts.com. Good luck to you.

Welcome enda75. The old bird you're on about sure has got a weird idea of freedom of religion for the children. DA'd yet hoping to extend freedom by limiting it in a high control cult?

    Sounds very strange!
