Mrs Ozzie and I have taken to settling down each supper time with the "Doctor" movies on video. You know the ones with Simon Sparrow that starred Dirk Bogarde and James Robertson Justice.
We manage a chuckle and that shows we are old!

I happened to see Hill Street Blues tonight - and remembered why it was such a great show..........and was reminded of this thread.
There's a whole generation of grown, young, adults who don't remember that show!
And who don't remember making burnt Jiffy Pop after school.

ps: My daughter is 31 - got married (again) last October. She wanted to wear a girdle under her wedding dress. She bought 3 as she didn't have a clue as to which style would work best, and had never worn one before. She wore one - and showed all the girls she worked with - as none of them had ever worn one. They all thought it was hilarious.
Called them "old lady girdles." God, I shed mine when I was 20 - thankfully. Of course, during different years, perhaps I should have worn one........
