I can't see how anyone hearing that wouldn't see through the ruse. It's obviously tailored to explain past changes and justify more to come. Then when one of the flock is disturbed by the change, the BOE could just direct him/her to that article. Case closed.

wha happened?
That letter/notes sounded like something I would have to present to a company thats going through rough times. Asking people to be flexible etc etc. That's all the type of talk you give to people you are going to shuffle around, inconveniently, for the greater good of the company, and that after shuffling and making an employee feel insecure about their place in the company, lay them off

I'd love to see some "faithful" oldtimers tell everybody the real truth of how "God's Organization" runs.

wha happened?
but alas they are faithful so we'll never hear from them

Do they have a public talk every Monday Bethel WT study? I thought it was only occasionally.

Almost a million people came into the truth in 5 years
And the world population was 6.45 billion in 2005 according to this awesome site.
Now the world population is 7 billion.
So 499 million more people have to die because Armageddon has been delayed 5 years.
Man JWs suck at math.

Yep, sounds like it's time for another cull of long-time Bethelites, particularly those in the age 45-60 demographic.
Those younger than 45 are likely still healthy enough to give them another 5 or 10 years of labor.
It would look too heartless to axe those over age 60.
Those who are ages 45-60 are just getting to the point where their health problems may put a drain on WTS finances (they are self-insured), but they are young enough that JW business owners in the territories they are assigned to can give them a part-time minimum wage job to "support their pioneering".
The "luckiest" of those downsized will get reassigned as special pioneers and/or attend the newly revamped Gilead school, and thus remain on the Society's "payroll" until their health completely gives out.

Why do they use the word "progressive" to descript the Watchtower people?
Did you notice that the note taker speaks heavily of the "uneasiness" that is apparent within the Bethel family rank and file? This is because the Watchtower is under seige by truth and is required to take decisive action. Action their "commoners" are not used to seeing all that often. It's not the first time that this has happened to them. They have lost many battles, but in the end have always won the war. Why? Groups LIKE the Watchtower have been winning the "war" because they have always been able to develop new stratagems of information control (adaptation). If you can wield the I in the BITE model the rest of the letters will become available for further control. If you are about control, when things become out of control you are going to append to your current system of controlling, or go extinct.
Not all Witnesses are advocates of the FULL indoctrination process. Many Witnesses oppose fundamental doctrine and policies like Blood and Disfellowshipping. This creates a Group Momentum Spectrum or a Right and a Left wing of the the same ideology. It's actual momentum in a direction not yet decided.
Right (conservative of old values) and Left (progressive to new values) wings will always exist within groups like the Watchtower, but the fact that the wings exist remains controlled information. Most Witnesses will vehemently deny that such division exists within the Society because their brand is one of unity (Brotherhood). However the idea of division is not so far fetched when speaking to people at the top of the Watchtower. Those people, in private, will not be able to conscientiously object to the existence of such divisions because they are undeniably apparent from their perspective.
