Both the Briggs & Straton and the Clinton were small displacement internal combustion engines.
These were the two forces of my early mechanical life.
My first go-kart had a 2 1/2 horsepower Clinton engine.
Our first Sears garden tractor had a 5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton.
