@ Ziddina: I have recorded with my web cam two instances where he was slurring his words and staggering around. He is only audible on the file but it is clear he was in no condition to drive. He was too sick to walk over here across the street but he DROVE? WTF!! He came over to nag for MORE pain pills and couldn't even stand up right. When he didn't get any he got mad and started back home. I offered to give him a lift or walk him back. He declined so I turned on teh web cam. All I need is for him to leave here, t-bone another car or run over a child or someone else and me not have proof that I offered him a ride. I told him that if he didn't want a ride or escort home I would call the cops. He was mad but then sat on the couch and zonked out.

I'm glad that you've gotten his zonked-out condition on tape, but if possible it is very important that you get his DEMANDS FOR MORE PILLS and his BULLYING on tape - or at least in front of several eyewitnesses- in case there's ever a court case over his behavior - OR if he DOES DIE FROM AN OVERDOSE - you wouldn't want your wife hauled in as a suspect in her father's death...
If it were me.... I'd record his demands and his bullying, and then give him ALL the pills that he demanded - and hope for a FATAL overdose...

I'd get that incriminating video - videos - and do everything I could to get him LOCKED UP - permanently - where he had NO access to such pills, at all....
THAT is the sort of "living hell" that that sort of MONSTER deserves!!!
