My Dad was an active Witness for 25 years after he retired. He never brought anyone in either. Now he is suffering from dementia (WT calls this 'mentally diseased' don't they? ) and doesn't understand a thing about what they talk about anymore. When they come to leave the ragazines (which is not very often here), I just put them away so he doesn't see them.
One night at dinner, his prayer came out sounding like he was speaking Clingon. The only thing I could make out was when he called Jesus 'Jane'.
Being a Jehovah's Witness saves you from nothing.
