Outlaw, four doors, that is just plain silly talk, however, there were family chariots with an open door concept (I believe this model would seat up to 8 (6 adults comfortably)) ...

I'm sure they had something similar to this back then as well. A floating church, erm kingdom hall.

Based on the information so far (nod to Blondie) it seems borderline whether codexs existed in the 1st Century or only scrolls.
The Century is in question, but as BluesBrother pointed out apostasy exploded at the beginning of the 2nd Century after the death of the Apostles, so it's likely a 1st Century depiction.
At any rate, copies of Scripture were very rare at the time. Isn't it true that a person needed to be wealthy to own one? An ordinary Christian family man would not have been able to have the Scriptures, scroll or codex. And if he did have one, it seems unlikely he would have carryied it around in public.
As Phizzy says, they are making early Christians look just like modern JWs.

The "144,000 barrier" is anothr consideration. Apostasy or no apostasy, JW's cannot afford to allow the existence of "true Christians" as an organized body much beyond the first century.

That is a good point TD. As I was typing the response the 144,000 issue flashed through my mind. It's probably one of the main reasons that Watchtower insists apostasy took over Christianity immediately after the 1st Century. Can't have too many years go by, or it won't add up to a total of 144,000 being reached in the 20th Century; it would have been reached much sooner. Actually, the math on the 144,000 is a big problem anyway.

I call this romanticizing the past, just like fictional movies that are "set" in a historical time frame but take broad liberties with historical details in an attempt to get the audience to better identify with the story.

Someone please photoshop the shepherd/sheep photo from the WT 4/15/12 onto the "entertainment poster" in this picture. I haven't the time or patience!
