I ask again what books on evolution have you actually read? I'm guessing none - am I right?

Cofty, I find this:
I always find it hard to understand why a god would use a process as wasteful as evolution.
to be in conflict with this:
The sad thing is, if believers weren't so afraid of the facts about evolution it is actually one of the most awesome and inspiring things they could study.
Evolution is a process of life. How many species change, adapt, evolve in order to survive a changing and evolving and living world? It seems to me that the end result of evolution is further life. Dinosaurs didn't die out (or so a theory goes). Some of them did, I suppose, but they survived by adapting and changing into something else.
And yes, it does get us to deism at best. Other factors get us to God, the Father of Christ... namely Christ.
Peace,
Tammy

EP..I do not NEED you or anyone else to make me feel better you patronizing arse. I do NOT have a flavour of religion. I am NOT religious and doubt the existence of a god althogether. STOP assuming you know how other peoples minds work and process information.
I just hope one day you will be able to see what a puffed up biggot you appear to be to some people. May I remind you of your comment aimed at me about being 'retarded' on another thread. Was that an example of your sciency words? I'll try not to thow them about like you do.

Morbidzbaby, also makes a good point, which is that you almost make mockery of those of us on here who chose to become atheists, as though it were some 'new fad' to try and impress everyone. Coming out as an atheist, especially when you're brought up by God-Fearing parents in a predominantly Christian country is not an easy thing to do, and certainly doesnt get you any street cred.

I have read no contemporary books on evolution. I am sure that I read evolution text in college. Biology was my minor. Nursing my major.

Budhists, atheist
Buddhism has nothing to say about God. It is left up to the individual, so if anything it is completely neutral or agnostic.
Why do I bother.

I have read no contemporary books on evolution
At last a straight answer. You now have two options that are not mutually exclusive.
Ask lots of thoughtful questions about how evolution works and you will get loads of help as long as you show you are sincerely trying to learn
Go and borrow of buy some really good books and get studying. It may take many months. I posted a list of 6 really good options for you.
What is not an option is to continue to parade your ignorance in public.

Tec - you evaded my questions.

When was I outwitted? I don't think it was in this thread.
Maybe I'm wrong. Were you baptized to be saved? No? Then I'm sorry, maybe you have never been outwitted.

Tec - you evaded my questions.
Well, I sure didn't mean to and I thought some were answered by what I wrote, but I'll go back and do my usual point by point to be more clear.
