Speaking of CT Russell - "And for 25 years had such distressing hemorrhoids that it was impossible for him to rest in the easiest chair" - The Finished Mystery - 1917 - page 57

Wow. I didn't know that one was in there. Remember folks. God directed this and Jesus approved it.

Don't believe it then check it out - This is just to damn funny. I now have greater empathy for the man. Yes, you could reghtly blame him for starting this ugly monster of a religion/cult . . . but remember the poor man suffered greatly and still soldiered on. ha,ha,ha and lol.

To me it just demonstrates how foolish and out of touch the authors were (Clayton Woodworth and George Fisher). What good could possibly by gained by saying that CT Russell had hemmoroids for the last 25 years of his life? Perhaps an attempt to gather sympathy for the man, but they could have just generalized it and said that he had medical issues that prevented him from sitting down during extended periods of time.

I read about what happened to those two authors. Fisher disassociated himself from Rutherford in the 20's and died shortly after. Woodworth, however, was the originator of all sorts of quack theories. He disapproved of aluminum cookware, ranted against vaccines, slammed the germ "theory", and made a new calendar with renamed months and days. But his lasting contribution was the "no blood" policy. Woodworth was a quack wannabe physician in the mold of L. Ron Hubbard.

Now I know why Charles Russell was walking back and forth while lecturing in The Photo Drama of Creation!

Probably the most interesting part of the whole book.

The chapter is called, "Wycliff, Luther, and Russell." It says he produced more work than "any other human being"! And y'all doubt me when I say the elemental JW problem is blistering -- and unearned -- pride. God! These people have always been insufferable.

Almost but not quite on par with the Popes.

What exactly is the "easiest chair"? I mean, is there anything easier than, say, a Lay-z-boy?
