Cool, Band on the Run. I would love to have seen Etta James at a small, cozy venue.

Nirvana.
I've never seen them in concert (they were before my time), but damn, they were amazing live.

Also agree with others who say they would have liked seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan live too. I have him live on VHS in concert or DVD, one of them. He put on an awesome live show ! One of my all time favorite guitarists for sure ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Wow . . . 4 pages of music thread and only one youtube vid . . . that must be some sort of record.
I've been to plenty of performances starting with The Faces in 1970, Bob Dylan, Bowie, Status Quo, Velvet Underground . . . and a long list of heavy rock ensembles. Strangely enough . . . one of the most memorable performances was from Don McLean about 79/80. It was in a theatre and quite intimate. After he completed "Vincent" there followed a silence that was so complete . . . the Don stretched out his arm as he stroked out the final chord and held it in front of him . . . and then dropped his guitar pick to the floor. Every single person in that theatre heard it hit the floor. I looked around me and there wasn't a dry eye in the place. It was one of the most moving moments I've ever experienced. The applause started slowly and gently gaining in power to a crescendo and standing ovation that lasted many minutes. He had us in the palm of his hand. One man on a stool with his guitar. I'll never forget it.
