If a JW never gets married and follows the Watchtower to the letter till the day they die, that means they would have never had sex in their lives or entertained masturbation. Scary thought.

There have been a sad lot of old Rutherford era Witnesses
who let themselves be suckered into avoiding marriage and
childbearing - while the Judge was going to burlesque shows
and sleeping with his live in cook. Most are deceased - in private moments they would express

So sad,
I personally know of some who have never left home, still live with their now elderly parents! Sheeesh. Why grow up, why get a life in this world that isn't going anywhere? The whole lot is going to be destroyed anyway! No need to prepare for a future that isn't going to exist! It's so horribly unhealthy the mindset that this religion (cult, sect, whatever you want to call it) instills in people :(
Everything secret degenerates, even the administration of justice; nothing is safe that does not show how it can bear discussion and publicity. Lord Acton 1834-1902

haha, I remember when I was a teen thinking that either I get married or never get any. I can't help but wonder how many marriages were entered just so they could have sex.
I can think of several marriages where they started out “playing house” and ended up miserable.
Believe in yourself, not mythology.

I know of a not so young brother in my old cong, who is well into middle age and still living with Mom and Dad. Very Sad, because he is such an intelligent and likeable guy.
The funny thing is, many in the cong. wanted to set me up with him, but like I said, this guy has not even shown he was capable of living on his own without his (dysfunctional) family--and you want me to marry him and be obligated to live with him and have someone I don't even know intimately become the head of my household?!?!? Are you Crazy? Just so I and he can have sex?!?!?!?
I suppose he and all the others like him just follow the WBTS advice when they start thinking about sex--pray or change position or something.
Very Sad. Very Very Sad.

the FIRST time i was publicly reproved (is that term still used nowadays?)
at the ripe age of 13,
before i was even baptized (age 15)
-- which in hindsight i question how and why, was i was allowed --
anyhows,
among the reasons i was publicly reproved,
which there were several, (TMPI)
included getting a handjob from a fellow sister and wanking it,the only mention at the hall the nite when the 'encouragement/needs of the congregation' talk was given after the announcement,
which pretty much let everyone in attendance that nite know the reason(s) behind the reproving
simply focused on my having a tug-a-war wih cyclops,
nothing more and nothing less, glad i can laugh about it know

Because of the extreme weirdness, I won't elaborate, but....
...my parents literally raised my sisters and I with this goal in mind. We were shunned by our parents if we introduced male friends to them. I was also shunned for attending a JW friend's prom with him. (after much negotiation for permission to go, strictly chaperoned) All subjects pertaining to us and the opposite sex were spoken of in hushed tones, if spoken of at all. We weren't allowed to date AT ALL, not even "group dating" nor "chaperoned". Nor were phone calls from males allowed.
Too strange to be believed.

Since we're on the subject, a few years ago a sister in a neighboring congregation who was 90 years of age became engaged to and then married a younger brother. They waited until he turned 18 in order to tie the knot (since his parents did not approve of the age difference).
This sister was supposedly a "true virgin" baptized in her early teen years, and since lived a very austere single life spent almost entirely in the field. Word got out that she told some of the younger single sisters that she was a virgin in the sense she had never even "touched herself improperly" in almost a full century.
This young brother was supposedly quite a "catch" for that sister who described their honeymoon as "paradise beyond the Songs of Solomon". Every marriage-minded sister in the district was after him, and he was exceptionally dedicated to The Truth (putting in all his spare time in field service, and even giving up college to pioneer). Some said he even aspired to be an elder, and was exceptionally good looking with sisters competing for his attention before and after meetings; and an athlete into high school sports until he began preparing for baptism a year earlier.
Sitting together during their courtship and having elders and other congregation members "chaperone" them on dates stirred much talk throughout the neighboring congregations because of her advanced age. After their honeymoon on a camping trip with the brothers, he confided that "she was incredible in bed" and that she could "never seem to get enough". I would suppose that 90 years of abstinence would have that effect.
Of course the above is reliable information because it came from an elderly elder's wife in my apartment complex who often felt sorry for us single brothers sharing apartments, so invited us to dinner often. My roommate and I always got the skinny on stuff going on in nearby congregations through this sister, which I have since heard is not uncommon. It seems many wives of elders love to, well, to put it gently, to talk. :)
Anthropologists would have a field day studying the tightly knit Jehovah's Witnesses community, as an after-thought.
