I for one will miss her VERY much! I will remember her for her great voice, music, beauty and the happiness her music brought to millions of people... She was a very beautiful person who fell into the trap of addiction. She did way more good, bringing happiness to millions, than she did bad, mostly bringing sadness to herself. Personally I believe she has gone to a much better place where she can get the real help that she needs. I believe in the promises Jesus spoke of. I love her and am very sad she is gone but happy her pain is over...

journey-on
I just got in from a road trip and heard this. I'm sick at heart. RIP Whitney. (Nobody...not even Dolly... did "I Will Always Love You" like Whitney.)

finally awake
I've hated the sound of her voice from the minute I heard her remake of Dolly Parton's song. I know it's irrational - every time I heard her voice I'd wish she'd be permanently banned from the airwaves. But it's a pity that she died.

Tragedy.
I loved "Proud Mary" back in the 70's. Amazing dancer. I remember watching the movie about her life story with Angela Basset. It took so much strength to get away from her abusive husband. Apparently she had abused drugs. I guess she was in alot of pain still from from her years with Ike.

it's not Tina Tuner, it is Whitney Houston. I know they are both black but years apart.

Tina is still alive and kicking.
Sad to hear about Whitney, although not really surprised. I had hopes that she would pull it together too. Such a wonderful voice and beautiful face. I've been missing her for years.
