To be totally honest people that have acknowledged great singing capabilities, usually don't have that talent forever.
The aging process in all of us has diminishing effects regarding abilities in vocalization singing.
Problems accumulate though with professional singers for this has become their career and their popularity is incumbent surrounding that very capability.
Pretty hard for a person whose accumulated so much popularity and fame for having that noted capability and to come to terms with themselves
that capability is no longer there and can never return to them.
Some of the responses here are positively gross.
This isn't about Dolly Parton or Metallica or the Jacksons.
You might think a group of people who had been squashed under the thumb of the organization might have some some empathy.

No really Beks, a lot of folks in the black community were saying the same thing about Whitney and Bobby. I couldn't understand it either, it seems so out if charatcher to the image she projected to the public. When I saw the reality show about Whitney and Bobby I kinda understood, her public and private personas were quite different.
Jonesy I just feel sorry. Ultimately we are a bunch of strangers that only knew her music and the tabloids. I give kudos for being an amazing talent. And again, I feel sorry. I would give darn near anything to be able to sing. It's what sends me.

I always though WH was beautiful and had a lovely voice with power, range and control. It's sad she got into drugs and alcohol -- such a lovely voice. I listened to her on Youtube last night, especially I Will Always Love You, what a powerful song
