Maybe going to church--if I am going to give up anything for something that claims to follow "the perfect, complete sacrifice to which nothing ever need be added", it would be adding to that sacrifice.

I read Thomas Merton, C.S. Lewis, or other readings during Lent.
Then perhaps next year it would be logical to give up reading Thormas Merton...?

it ain't going to be cigarettes. I'm with sooner on the personnel sacrifice aspect, already gave up my childhood and teen years to a cult.
